About The Palisades Tahoe Wedding Venue

1960 Olympic Valley Road, Olympic Valley, California 96146

Palisades Tahoe is a ski resort that has a pretty legendary past. The hotel was constructed in 1949 and served as a favorite location for adventure-seekers everywhere. Around a decade later, it faced a surge in popularity when it hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics. Today, the resort continues to draw in crowds of around 600,000 people each year and is considered one of the most popular resorts in the area. Don’t let their fame intimidate you, though. This venue is going to work alongside you to make sure you have the VIP wedding treatment

Details of the Grounds

With this venue, you are going to be able to accommodate weddings with up to 250 guests. The Upper Deck at High Camp will offer accommodations for up to 225 guests, and the Terrace Room will hold up to 175. Down at the Olympic Village Event Center, both spaces will accommodate up to 225 guests. The Alpine Lodge will grant you the highest capacity, with room for up to 250 guests.

Most couples who choose Palisades Tahoe for their wedding host an outdoor wedding. With this option, you get to choose your own adventure. If you want to feel like you are on top of the world, the Upper Deck at High Camp is for you. Here, you will literally be on the top of the mountain with views spanning Lake Tahoe as your backdrop.

The deck has pale wood flooring with a low-profile gate around the edge. This spot is only accessible with an aerial tram. If heights aren’t exactly your thing, then you might want to stick with the Garden at the Olympic Village Event Center. This is a lush space that sits surrounded by aspens at the base of a mountain. You can also choose the Alpine Lodge. Nestled among the Sierra Nevada range, you will have a space that faces the slope of the mountain. It is located right by a brand-new lodge where you will have indoor amenities.

Prefer to keep all of your party indoors? Then, you can select the interior of the Alpine Lodge or the Olympic Village Events Center. Both sites give you a rustic yet sophisticated spot for your party.

Palisades Tahoe Wedding Reception And Cocktail Hour Spaces

Once it’s time for your reception, you can head indoors to one of their designated locations. For those wishing to keep the mountain-top views, the Terrace Room at High Camp is your spot! This area has floor-to-ceiling windows covering the rounded exterior walls. You are going to spend your reception with jaw-dropping 360-degree views. Meanwhile, the Alpine Lodge and the Olympic Village Events Center will keep you close to the ground while still giving you mountainside views thanks to their expansive windows.

If you would prefer, you can have an outdoor wedding on the sundeck of the Alpine Lodge. Your guests will have a cozy space where they can feast and raise a glass before it’s time to dance!

If you choose to have a cocktail hour, you will be able to find a spot at your site. For those having their wedding on High Camp, the indoor bar at the Terrace Room is your best bet. The outdoor decks at both the Olympic Village and the Alpine Lodge will also work well for this portion.

SHALL WE MEET?

HI FRIENDS

I’m Kirsten—a wedding photographer here to guide you through this wildly exciting time…and toward the best lighting.

Ever since my days in the highschool darkroom, I’ve been enamored with the power images have to tell a compelling story. I went on to study photography and fashion at Savannah College of Art & Design and worked as an editor for a studio before founding Kirsten Marie Photography in 2012. Every day since, and I’ve fallen deeper in love with the art of wedding photography—there’s just nothing quite as fascinating and fulfilling as documenting the tenderness weddings bring out in people.

As someone who’s fairly spotlight-shy, I know how awkward being photographed can feel—which is why I work to bring an atmosphere of ease to our time together. I pour my whole heart into hyping you up, getting you the material you deserve, and making sure you feel comfortable and cared for.

Beyond the lens, I’m a mom to two feisty girls. Translation: there’s no group I can’t wrangle, no mountain I can’t summit, and no trail I can’t traverse. While you’re soaking in sunsets and sipping champagne—you can find me crawling through bushes and traipsing through snowpack to get the best angle…and loving every single second of it.
