About The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Wedding Venue

111 Country Club Drive, Incline Village, Nevada 89451

Since first opening its doors in 1957, The Hyatt Regency in Lake Tahoe has spent half a century providing travelers with a refined yet rustic space. The hotel is nestled amidst the Sierra Mountain Range, providing unbelievable views everywhere you turn. You can find picturesque meadows, a serene blue lake, and snowy mountains. The rooms themselves incorporate natural elements such as wood and stone, reminding you of your surroundings while ensuring you are never too far away from comfort. The hotel has received the distinguished AAA four-diamond rating. When you stay here, you can count on divine food, a relaxing spa, and a casino with enough thrills to last throughout the night. The hotel takes special pride in providing world-class weddings so you can have the event you have always wanted.

Details of the Grounds

The Hyatt Regency has six Lake Tahoe locations where you can hold your wedding ceremony. If you are looking for an outdoor location, you can choose from the Lakeside Cottage Green, the Creekside Lawn, the 999 Beach, and The Water Gardens. With Lakeside Cottage Green, you will be in a flat clearing overlooking the lake and the mountains. Evergreen trees keep you shaded without blocking the view. The Creekside Lawn puts you in a clearing amidst the aspens with a creek that enhances the atmosphere. The 999 Beach is a sandy space that butts up against the lake. Here, you will have the best view of both the mountains and the water. Finally, The Water Gardens incorporate natural features to provide you with a space that feels organic. The front has a wooden arbor where you can exchange vows.

For an indoor space, there is the Lakeside Ballroom and Patio. The windows look out over the lake, while the white walls and high ceilings allow you to make this space feel like your own. Try out the new Guests-only lounge with moody lighting and modern furniture for smaller, intimate weddings.

Both Creekside Lawn and Lakeside Cottage Green can easily be transformed for your dream reception. These two areas provide plenty of flat, verdant space for your dinner and ample room for dancing. If you want something with a bit more climate control, you can try out either the cozy yet elegant Guests Only restaurant or the roomy and modern Lakeside Ballroom and Patio.

The Guests Only restaurant is my favorite place for a  Lake Tahoe wedding cocktail hour at the Hyatt Regency. Located on the 11th floor, this space gives you an expansive look at the mountains and forests below. The Water Gardens can also accommodate a cocktail hour while providing a positively serene environment.

Hyatt Regency has a selection of different rooms where you and your partner can get ready before the ceremony. They will work with you before your event to help you find a nearby space to unwind, drink some champagne, and put on the finishing touches.

Reception and Beyond At The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Wedding Venue

With this venue, you are going to have space to invite as many people as you’d like. Lakeside Cottage Green can host up to 600 guests, while The Water Gardens can host up to 130. The Lakeside Ballroom and Patio will host up to 300, and Guests Only can host up to 30.

It feels impossible to stumble upon a bad space in this entire resort. The exterior is thoughtfully landscaped with enough native plants to keep it feeling organic. The water gardens feature a small footbridge and a water feature to enhance the ambiance. Most of the outdoor spaces have subtle fencing to protect wildlife from crashing your wedding.

Photography Opportunities

You can never run out of photo opportunities with the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe wedding venue. The pier overlooking the lake and the Sierras is one of the top spots for couple portraits. The gardens give you unlimited levels and accessible spots for group photos. We can also plan pictures around the beach as well as around the rustic yet beautiful cottages.

Wedding Details

The Hyatt Regency will ensure you have everything you need for your big Lake Tahoe wedding day. Before your event, you can schedule a tasting to help you plan your dream menu. They offer an in-house bar where you can create a signature drink. They will take care of set-up and clean-up, and you will have use of their chairs, tables, linens, china, and dinnerware. You will have an event planner who will work with you to coordinate every detail, simplifying things if you are planning a destination wedding. The resort does offer parking and valet services, and you can work with them to arrange a shuttle for easy transport. The venue is pet-friendly in case you want to incorporate your four-legged family members. They also accept outside vendors and can provide you with a list of preferred businesses.

SHALL WE MEET?

HI FRIENDS

I’m Kirsten—a wedding photographer here to guide you through this wildly exciting time…and toward the best lighting.

Ever since my days in the highschool darkroom, I’ve been enamored with the power images have to tell a compelling story. I went on to study photography and fashion at Savannah College of Art & Design and worked as an editor for a studio before founding Kirsten Marie Photography in 2012. Every day since, and I’ve fallen deeper in love with the art of wedding photography—there’s just nothing quite as fascinating and fulfilling as documenting the tenderness weddings bring out in people.

As someone who’s fairly spotlight-shy, I know how awkward being photographed can feel—which is why I work to bring an atmosphere of ease (and a wicked sharp sense of humor) to our time together. I pour my whole heart into hyping you up, getting you the material you deserve, and making sure you feel comfortable and cared for.

Beyond the lens, I’m a mom to two feisty girls. Translation: there’s no group I can’t wrangle, no mountain I can’t summit, and no trail I can’t traverse. While you’re soaking in sunsets and sipping champagne—you can find me crawling through bushes and traipsing through snowpack to get the best angle…and loving every single second of it.
